The purpose of this study is to evaluate the cardiovascular safety of Febuxostat and Allopurinol in subjects with Gout and Cardiovascular comorbidities.

Basic Study Information:
•Duration: Up to 5 years
•Number of Visits to CKRA: Up to 20
•Medication / Vaccine Being Tested: Febuxostat or Allopurinol
•Compensation: Up to $1,050
•Note: Qualified participants need to be at least 50 years old (if male) or at least 55 years old (if female) and have a history of major cardio- or cerebrovascular disease as well as have a history or presence of gout.
