The plague once wiped out a third of Europe and there is no vaccine to protect us if an outbreak were to happen again, or if there was a bioterrorist attack. CKRA is conducting a research study of an investigational vaccine to see if it can help protect against exposure to plague bacteria spread through the air. This study is being funded by the Department of Defense.
