Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV) is a highly contagious, potentially dangerous respiratory virus that is an important cause of illnesses such as pneumonia in infants and young children.  The peak of severe disease occurs in infants 2 to 6 months of age and in some cases, may be life-threatening.  The purpose of this study is to evaluate the safety, immune response and viral shedding of MEDI-559, an investigational nasal vaccine being developed for Respiratory Syncytial Virus compared to a placebo. Basic Study Information:
     •Duration:  6 months
     •Number of Visits to CKRA:  13
     •Medication / Vaccine Being Tested:  MEDI-559 vs. Placebo 
     •Compensation:  $1,000 for completion
     •Note:   Subjects must be between 1 and 24 months of age, in general good health, and be the result of a normal, full-term pregnancy.
