Snuff Tobacco Study

  • December 7, 2018

The purpose of this study is to characterize nicotine exposure following the use of 4 moist snuff tobacco pouch products and 2 long-cut loose products by adult moist snuff tobacco users.

Duration:  Approximately 6 weeks per study group (up to 20 weeks if participating in all 3 study groups)

Number of visits to CKRA:  You will complete a screening visit and if you qualify after the screening visit, you will then complete the check-in visit to confirm eligibility and start your in-clinic stay, which will last for 16 nights.  Then, a final end-of-study visit will be completed.  All of these visits are required for each study group.

Compensation:  Up to $4,375.00 for time and travel.

Note:  Qualified participants must be adults between the ages of 21 and 65 years old, have used moist snuff tobacco for at least the past 12 months, use at least 1/2 can of moist snuff tobacco per day on average, and be in general good health.  Other criteria also apply.
